I've come back to being able to form words now so I'll post it while I can.
I can't even comprehend how there would be "natural cause" for a 28 year old man to die. I really hope it was though. Like someone mentioned to me tonight, for Jimmy to be lost in the list of legends that died too young from a drug overdose would just be tragic. I also can't even begin to understand what Leana and the other guys are going through. The rumors are going to run rampant and I know it is going to tear us all up in the process. But the truth will come out and that's when healing can begin.
I met Jimmy the most out of any of the members. I like to think it was because he was always the sweetest, and always appreciated how we waited for them until the damn bus pulled out of the venue. The first time I saw him I was too nervous to go say hi. The second time was through a fence and he was a bit drunk and hugging on Zacky. But the third time showed me just how much he cared for his fans. It was 2am, and Jimmy rolled out of bed and out into 20 degree weather so he could come take pictures with the small group of us that were still outside. That's dedication. The fourth and final time I met him was in Memphis just this past March. He was on his way out with Matt and Val and seemed happy as always to talk to us and take pictures. I always thought there would be a fifth and sixth time to meet him.
I'm going to miss him so much, as are a lot of other people I know. I can't even imagine Avenged without him. But he's going to live forever through the music he created, and the friendships that were made through that music. I've made friends that I would not have known existed had it not been for Avenged. And I know for a fact that Avenged Sevenfold fans are some of the toughest out there, and we can get through anything we want to if we try hard enough.
Also have to mention the fact that wherever Jimmy is right now he is probably calling us all pussies for crying over him. It's a shame his body didn't work like an old Nintendo, like he said. Just beat it up a little and it works again. "C'mon on play the game!" But he also said that he would leave forever, but when he got back.... :) I like to remember those moments. Pure Jimmy silliness. That is what's going to get me through.
